We believe sustainability practices are paramount to a long-term value-creation strategy and are integral in the evaluation of investments across listed and private real estate. This is why we rely on a data-driven process that seeks to establish a complete picture of the risks and opportunities both in terms of sustainability and financial impact. In our Listed Real Estate business, this takes the form of a quantitative scoring system integrated into our top-down, bottom-up, and risk management research process. In private real estate, we rely on a proprietary scorecard that considers material ESG factors as part of our due diligence and asset management processes.

Doing our part: Translating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into Action
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, serve as a north star to achieve significant progress globally and build a more equitable and sustainable future. To provide a measurable framework for our sustainable investing approach, we have incorporated ten of the 17 UN SDGs as key elements in our sustainability process.
We believe these are the goals that pertain to the real estate industry, and in which CenterSquare can have a tangible impact while creating long-term value. We believe real estate has the power to be both a driver of financial growth and sustainable development. The built environment has a material impact locally on the communities in which it exists, and globally is a major source of resource consumption and carbon emissions.
With global progress on these goals falling short of where it needs to be, our contribution toward making the built environment more sustainable has become even more vital.
The Sustainable Development Goals Report 2025 paints an eye-opening picture of current progress toward these goals and the efforts needed to turn these global ambitions into reality. Success will require continued commitment and participation by global stakeholders.
